Born in San Diego in 1952. I have been an east county resident most of my life. Going to St. John's and St. Martin's for elementary school, Helix High School, Grossmont College, San Diego State University, Cal State Northridge and the University of Denver. I hold an Associated Arts degree, a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Masters in Public Administration and a Certificate for a two year program in Alternative Dispute Resolution. I have served over 25 years in municipal government of those years 13 were as a department director. I have held appointments from Governor Roy Romer in Colorado, the California State Senate, served on the County of San Diego's Emergency Medical Care Committee and served as La Mesa City Council in the early 1980's. I have enjoyed serving on the San Miguel Fire District Board since 2002. I believe public service is the responsibility of all our citizens.
