Request for Proposal
San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District
The San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection
District, is facing it’s fourth year of declining revenue vs.
expenditures. In an attempt to eliminate the structural budget
deficit, return Fire Station 23 on Dehesa Road back to full
staffing/full service, and potentially improve direct emergency services
to our customers, the Board of Directors has authorized that a Request
for Proposal be issued to surrounding fire agencies. Once the
proposals are submitted to the District the Board will evaluate them and
discuss the possibilities for a shift in how service is provided or
pursue other alternatives to our long-term budget deficit. The
Board of Directors and the Fire Chiefs primary objective is to ensure
that the citizens and businesses of the San Miguel Fire District receive
the best level of service possible within the resources available.
Additional information related to the RFP process will be posted as it
becomes available.
